How it works

​

Your therapist will need to conduct a quick consultation to find out about any health issues (see contraindications), hobbies and lifestyles. After this, they will make observations and perform a range of movement checks in the affected areas of the body. Wearing shorts and a vest top is helpful for this but not essential. Your therapist will then suggest a massage therapy and some follow up stretches and exercises.

Despite rumors, effective sports massage does not have to be extremely painful! No matter the situation, your therapist will work closely with you to make sure that you are comfortable within the session.

​

Sports Massage is a misleading term as it is for everyone, young or old and you don't need to be sporty! In fact this type of massage aids in the process of recovery after injuries. It also helps to resolve soft tissue dysfunction or aches and pains. More importantly, sports massage can be used to maintain muscles and keep them working smoothly at optimal levels, so avoiding any future injuries.
